    Privacy-Preserving Reasoning on the SemanticWeb

    Abstract
    Many semantic web applications require selective sharing
    of ontologies between autonomous entities due to copyright,
    privacy or security concerns. In such cases, an agent
    might want to hide a part of its ontology while sharing the
    rest. However, prohibiting any use of the hidden part of
    the ontology in answering queries from other agents may
    be overly restrictive. We provide a framework for privacypreserving
    reasoning in which an agent can safely answer
    queries against its knowledge base using inferences based
    on both the hidden and visible part of the knowledge base,
    without revealing the hidden knowledge. We show an application
    of this framework in the widely used special case of
    hierarchical ontologies.

    这是一篇关于跨应用的多个ontology间查询的隐私保护问题，它提出一个隐私保护推理框架，基于隐藏和可见的知识进行推理进行查询而不暴露隐藏的知识。文章给出了该框架在目前广泛使用的层次ontology上的一个应用。

    看了baojie的个人主页，牛人一个呀！！发了两篇AAAI，唉，苦叹国内的研究水平与老美的差距。他主页上挂了他的博士论文，Dissertation: Representing and Reasoning with Modular Ontologies [PDF][ Slides]  (Advsior: Vasant Honavar)，主要是关于DL方面的表示和推理的，有兴趣研究DL的话，这篇文章很有参考价值。
