This page list summaries of the major bioinformatics programs that are curr
ently operating in the United States. The first summary was initially compil
ed for a panel presentation at the 2002 American Society of Information Scie
nce and Technology (ASIST) Annual Meeting. It is was revised in July 2003 to
be an article in the bioinformatics special topics issue of JASIST.
